Talking Cyber Security, Conscientious security choices creates business reward

We live in a Wild, West, World

The bad guys no longer needs to look through your windows or knock on your door to see if you’re home before they steal something from you. They can be anywhere in the world.

They likely see that by pushing the limits and taking advantage of others for their own gain is a safe and easy option as the likelihood of a legal repercussion, especially when their targets are in another country, are minimal to none.

That isn’t to say that businesses should not be making conscientious security decisions based on the unlikelihood that they will be able to prevent an attack occurring or being reimbursed for their losses. Instead, it is important to recognise that conscientious decisions and actions made by a business can be rewarded with the security and trust in systems and processes around their data that will keep their business safe.

Hear James Turner discuss this further with CQRs very own Phil Kernick and David Simpson below.
